StratoSnapper RX/TX compatibility update

We updated both the software (0.27) and the firmware(1.2) to expand the number of receivers supported. Check out the software page for details.

In short the problems fixed are:

  • Issue with unresponsive second channel
  • Hanging servo values
  • Servo value suddenly drops to zero

We have also made a small change on the setup: Many have written to ask for more precise control over the “repeat interval” for time-lapse and sequence shots. The “repeat after” option in the setup utility now works in 1/10 second intervals.

Now, this needs a firmware update, and that can be a bit daunting. But fear not! just follow the guide and you’re okay. The firmware updates are needed to include functionality we simply didn’t think of when the StratoSnapper was designed. Where “normal” engineers would probably have made a StratoSnapper v2 a long time ago, we will continue to squeeze in functionality for as long as possible.

    please can you help me,

    i get no Servoinput from FUtaba,
    i test the RX
    futaba R 6014HS
    AND
    FRSKY V8R7SP

    with a servo tester the input work, but not on the RX
    the RX is ok if i put some other stuff like a Servo or the Mikrokopter trigger its OK, so the output of the RX works well, but the sniper don`t what this signal!!

  2. FW 1.2 doesnt work with my NEX 5. I tested on a second Nex 5, still doesnt work. Strangely 1.2 works for both of my Nikon D80 and Canon 500D. Please advise

  3. A technical question for you. I setup the wired connection to trigger my Hasselblad H3DII. It seems to be triggering on every other pulse. Example, I setup to trigger at 2 seconds. While the light flashes it only triggers on the second cycle. However if I simply unplug the cable from the StratoSnapper and short the connection it triggers immediately at the max frame rate of 1fps.

    Does the wired behave differently than the IR? How do I get it to trigger as programmed?
